If someone had asked me a few years ago if opening a salon was on my radar, the answer would have been a confident “no.”

Truthfully, it all happened quickly—and looking back, I see God’s hand over every single detail. For that, I’m endlessly grateful.

After years in the salon world—working hourly, then finding my dream commission salon that eventually closed post-COVID—I ended up in a rental space that just didn’t feel like home. I was newly pregnant, and every day I walked in, I knew something had to change. Something big.

It was during that season of uncertainty that Christa and I started dreaming out loud. What if we stopped waiting for the “perfect place” and created our own? What if we followed our dreams instead of comfort? One conversation led to another, and before I knew it, we were walking into a space in January 2021 that would become Transformed Hair Design.

The moment I stepped through the doors, I knew—we were meant to be here. There was a peace that surpassed all fear. A knowing. When God leads, He doesn’t always give you all the details, but He does give you peace.

And though seasons have shifted and I now carry this dream forward on my own, I’ll always be thankful for how it began—with bravery, with faith, and with the belief that salons can be so much more than just a place to get your hair done.

Since that day, I’ve never looked back. The vision for Transformed was always about creating a space that reflects the values I hold most dear: Faith. Family. Then Work.

Our hope is that from the moment you walk through the door, you feel seen, cared for, and genuinely welcomed. We’re not just about great hair (though we do love that part!). We’re about people. About creating connection. About helping you feel like the most confident, beautiful version of yourself—inside and out.

You see, that's one thing we hope you notice the second you walk in our doors. This isn't a salon that everything is transactional and in and out. We want to hang out with you. We want you to feel comfortable no matter what stage of life you are in. We care about you and your hair.

The Definition of Transformed: [verb] To Change on Appearance or Character

Our name is inspired from Romans 12:2 "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's Will is-His good, pleasing, and perfect Will."

At the end of the day, my purpose isn’t just to lead a salon or style hair. It’s to create a space where the light of Jesus can shine. A space where you can exhale. A space where transformation is more than just what you see in the mirror.

And while we’re at it? Let’s transform some beautiful hair, too.
